Our independent and external purchasing experts are among Germany's leading gemstone specialists. They advise us on the purchase of the investment gemstones.
Above all, the 4Cs of the gemstones are considered:

The GGH 6-Point-Security-System
1.) Gemological Findings Report
The gemological findings report determines, among other things, the type of gemstone, the color, the clarity, the country of origin, the weight (in carats), and the cut.
Our requirements for laboratories demand the highest quality, because the laboratories examine the kind and condition of the material submitted by us in accordance with scientifically grounded methods.

2.) Appraisal
The appraisal is provided by a court-certified expert for gemstones in Germany. The Chamber of Commerce has sole authority to recommend court-certified experts following an examination of subject-matter expertise and can then swear them in.
We only select official appraisers from the Chamber's directory of experts for our appraisals.
3.) Tamper-proof Packing
Only tamper-proof packing systems are used for packing our gemstones. The gemstone in the sealed packing is assigned an ID code, which is linked directly with the associated appraisal online.
An unopened box thus guarantees the authenticity of the gemstone. If the box is opened, the seal is irreparably destroyed.
With this ID code the gemological findings report and the appraisal of the gemstone can be called up at any time on the database of the German Gemstone House, and the identity of the gemstone can be determined accordingly.

4.) Appraisal Database
The appraisals of all gemstones ever sold by us are stored securely in our own database.
If the original appraisals are lost, the "identity" of the gemstones can be determined at any time – so long as they are in the intact original tamper-proof packing. Thus a new original appraisal can be provided for a fee to offset expenses.
In the event of a resale of the gemstones, this database makes it possible to clearly determine that the appraisals actually match the identity of the stones.

5.) Trustee (optional)
The trustee oversees the entire purchase process. The purchase price is transferred to an escrow account. In a first step, the trustee releases 35% of the purchase price to the German Gemstone House.
The remaining 65% will only be released by the trustee after it has been determined:

6.) Secure Storage (optional)
The German Gemstone House stores your gemstones in a duty-free warehouse upon request. Your gemstones are stored in a special safe deposit box in accordance with the highest security standards.
